The Laboratory of Synthesis of Bioinspired Molecules (LSBM) is a recent stablished laboratory at Federal University of Uberlândia, MG, Brazil. Our mission is to develop solutions for medical issues. In order to achieve such ambitious goal, we aim to develop new macromolecules and materials encompassing metal ions, well-stablished drugs, synthetic ligands as well as macromolecules such as peptides, proteins, lipids and carbohydrates as building blocks. The comprehension of how the associations of such building blocks into well-defined molecules/materials affect the biological outcome of the resultant compounds are the core of our research.
